Matthew Allana

Non-Res Tutor
Business/Social Sciences

"Hey Q! I’m Matthew, a very recent (2025) Quincy grad — I missed it so much I couldn’t help but come back as a non-resident tutor! I pursued a double concentration in History and Economics with a secondary in Computer Science, and wrote my senior thesis on a little-known 1912 British insider trading scandal that shares many parallels with our modern political environment. On campus, I was involved in Quincy HoCo, the Harvard Undergraduate Law Review, and the Harvard Open Data Project. I’m originally from Los Angeles and currently live in New York, where I work in consulting at BCG, but I’m frequently back in Boston for work. In my free time, I love solving crosswords, plane spotting, and running (especially along the Charles!).

I’m excited to be a resource for you however best I can — I’m especially happy to chat about research in history, economics, and law; writing a thesis; being pre-law at Harvard; interning/working in the public sector; and consulting/finance recruiting. Looking forward to meeting you!"
