Maggie Sui

Hi Penguins!! My name is Maggie Sui, and I’m a first year MD-PhD student in Harvard-MIT’s Health Sciences and Technology (HST) program. I was born in Berkeley, California and grew up near Albany, New York. I graduated from Caltech in 2023, where I majored in bioengineering and minored in English! After graduation, I spent a summer looking at mutational signatures in cancer genomes at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute before moving to Stockholm, Sweden to study brain cancer under a Fulbright scholarship at the Karolinska institute. Recently, I’ve come back to Boston to start my MD-PhD training, and I’m interested in pediatric oncology and computational research!

In my free time, I love exploring the outdoors (rock climbing and hiking!!), social dancing (west coast swing and hip hop!!), as well as writing poetry and short stories. I’m a big fan of East of Eden and listening to podcast episodes of The Moth.
