Greetings, penguins! Katie K. here, better known as "that girl with the tiny fluffy dog."

I grew up with cats and sea otters and fog and the all around lo-fi forest-vibes of Monterey, California, before heading off to NYU for Cinema Studies, Screenwriting, and Gender & Sexuality Studies. Did my first MA in film studies at Kings College, U. of London then studied philosophy and political theory in various IPs in the EU which eventually brought me to Harvard's doctoral program in Art, Film, & Visual Studies.

Sadly for academia, I got bit by a different sort of creative bug and now, I work full time for the Harvard Extension School's ALM program in Creative Writing, where I bring my background working with the Department in Folklore & Mythology to courses on Fairy Tales & Fantasy, Horror, and genre fiction. And while my schedule is fully booked, I do dream of pitching new courses on Adaptations and Visual Storytelling (screenplays, graphic novels, webcomics, etc.).

These days, my courses are fully online, so Luci and I have spent the last few years traveling the country as "digital nomads,", but we're so excited to be back and part of the People's House community! Please come say hi @ Suite 201 in New Quincy, especially if you'd like to borrow a comic or anthology of folk/fairy tales. Or just to say hi to Luci, who would love to meet you. ; )

Lucifer P. Bones: Lucifer ("Luci") was born on an auspicious day in the celestial calendar. Daughter of a Fae Queen of the Winter Court and an Arctic Fox who may or may not have been a minor trickster God, Luci quickly realized the key to extracting an acceptable amount of scritches and treats would be to disguise herself as what the Humans call a "dog." (A coarse word, in truth, and one which hardly begins to account for her true nature.) After some consideration, she decided to pass herself off as a sort of "dog" known as a Japanese Spitz, if an unusually small and unnaturally friendly and cuddly one.

Today, she lives happily in this guise, feeding off the adoration of her many supplicants and with the full attendance of her personal helpmeet, "The Lady," (who frankly could stand to be a bit more generous with those treats, if you ask her).

Legend has it that only one who knows her True Name can hold sway over her. Many have tried, but none have yet divined what the "P." stands for. Not even The Lady. (She's asked. Luci won't tell her.)
