Alexander Junxiang Chen
Hi Penguins! My name is Alexander and I am super excited to be one of your Non-Resident Tutors this year! As part of the Class of 2024, I graduated this past May from Harvard, where I concentrated in Neuroscience and Chemistry and pursued a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. I am originally from Pleasanton, California, and unlike many of my fellow Non-Resident Tutors, I will be advising from all the way in San Francisco, where I am currently a first-year medical student at UCSF.
Some of my primary academic interests revolve around the brain sciences, and I am most interested in neurology and/or psychiatry as a medical specialization. Outside of school, I am a huge language nerd and love going abroad to do anthropological fieldwork on endangered languages. Closer to home, I love everything outdoors, from equestrian to hiking and kayaking. If you're interested at all in neuroscience, chemistry, anthropology, global health-related travel opportunities, or just wanted to chat, I would be more than happy to! I'll also be swinging by Cambridge every couple months or so, so be on the lookout. :)
