Ailish Lalor

Hi Quincy! I’m Ailish, the history house advisor. I study whaling, fishing, and agriculture in the Netherlands and Suriname after the Second World War. I grew up in Ireland and Australia, and I did my BA and MA in the Netherlands at Leiden University before moving to the US for my PhD in 2023. In my spare time I’m writing a novel called Limestone about the discovery of a dinosaur in a small town in the Netherlands in the eighteenth century. I also love cooking and baking, and obviously, going whale watching as often as I can.
