Jessenia Class

Resident Tutor
Headshot of Jessenia class

Hi Penguins! My name is Jessenia and I’m so glad to be rejoining the Quincy community as a Resident Tutor with my partner Michael!

A little bit about me: I grew up in Union, New Jersey before coming to Harvard for undergrad. I concentrated in Psychology on the Cognitive Neuroscience and Evolutionary Psychology track with a secondary in English and a citation in Spanish. Outside of class, I was an Editorial Chair at The Crimson, volunteered with a number of PBHA groups, and was a research assistant at a moral psychology lab and a lab at the law school. In Quincy, you could (and will) find me “doing work” at the Grille/d-hall or playing foosball with my blockmates.

After tragically being kicked off campus at the beginning of the pandemic, I worked for two years at Justice Catalyst Law, a public interest law firm, and Justice Catalyst, a public interest law philanthropy. I also volunteered with an advocacy group for survivors of domestic violence before returning to Harvard for law school.

Feel free to reach out to chat about anything! Some ideas: public interest/public service, book recommendations (I’m all for contemporary and translated lit), the classic first-gen sidestepping of STEM for law, Puerto Rican/Portuguese food recommendations, Quincy’s Assassins game, and, of course, the best study spaces on campus for procrastinating.
