Hi Penguins! My name is David Hernandez and I am so glad to be back in Quincy House as a resident tutor after having lived here as a student myself. I graduated in 2020 (first ever YouTube graduation!) with a joint degree in Social Studies and African American Studies, and wrote my thesis on the effectiveness of alternative courts in Newark, NJ. After graduation, I worked at the Robin Hood Foundation, New York City's largest poverty fighting organization. I am currently a 2L at Harvard Law School having applied through their Junior Deferral Program. I'm the son of two immigrants and a first-generation high school graduate who is excited about helping students from underrepresented backgrounds make it into spaces they might have never considered applying to. If you ever have any questions or concerns about applying to law school, working in philanthropy, or life in general, don't hesitate to reach out! Your tutor team is here for you :)
