Hello Quincy! I am excited to join the Quincy community with my partner Jessenia. I grew up in Los Angeles and came to Boston to join the Harvard Class of 2020.

In undergrad, I concentrated in chemical and physical biology (CPB) with a secondary in computer science. Outside of academics, I was a Currier House Representative in the (former) UC and director of Harvard’s Hult Prize competition. For my undergraduate research, I studied mitochondrial metabolism and muscle stem cell aging with the Mootha lab (Broad Institute) and Wagers lab (SCRB).

I am now a third-year graduate student in MIT Biology where I study longevity and systemsbiology with the Church lab at Harvard Medical School. My research focuses on everything aging from engineering cells that don’t age to designing strategies that identify mechanisms of rejuvenating old cells.

Reach out if you’re interested in talking about STEM, grad school, startups, venture capital, or how to make a Quad-Quincy ‘long-distance’ relationship work (it’s not that far!).

Looking forward to getting to know everyone this year!
