Salah-Dean Satouri is a J.D. candidate at Harvard Law School, where he serves as Co-President of the Student Government. He graduated with first-class honors and magna cum laude from the Joint Degree Program at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and the College of William &amp; Mary in Virginia with a degree in International Relations. At Harvard, Salah-Dean is an Articles Editor for the Harvard International Law Journal, a member of the International Human Rights Clinic, and a board member of the Muslim Law Students Association.

  
His professional experience spans both domestic and international law. As a 1L Scholar and 2L Summer Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher &amp; Flom in Washington, D.C. and London, England, Salah-Dean worked on government litigation and regulatory matters, including issues related to artificial intelligence and national security. He also served as a fellow with the Arab Leadership Institute in Tunisia, where he focused on the country’s legal regime, democratic backsliding, and civil society.  
Before law school, Salah-Dean worked in Tunisia as a fellow with the Global Research Institute, where he conducted research on the country’s 2022 constitutional referendum and constitutional crisis. In that role, he published articles in the Washington Post and The Brookings Institution and gave expert interviews to outlets such as the Toronto Star and Voice of America on Middle Eastern politics and Tunisian democracy. He then studied Classical Arabic at the Qasid Institute in Amman, Jordan, before returning to the United States for law school.

  
Raised in Fairfax, Virginia, to Tunisian and Lebanese immigrants, Salah-Dean speaks Arabic, French, and English. Outside of law, he is an avid gym-goer, a competitive golfer, and a former college rugby player.
