Howdy, Penguins! I’m Maddi (she/they) and I’m so excited to be a resident tutor in Quincy! I’m currently a PhD student in Organismic and Evolution Biology studying early animal ecology and fossil filter feeders. I grew up in rural Texas but I’ve called the Boston area home since moving here for undergrad. I was the first person in my family to go to college, and in 2022 I graduated from Harvard College, where I studied Integrative Biology. Even though I lived in the Quad during undergrad, I considered myself a big fan and friend of Quincy Grille! After college, I got my master’s in education from HGSE, where I studied learning design and higher education. Outside of work I love reading, baking, and doing circus arts. Please send book and recipe recommendations!   
  
I’d love to get to know you and chat about anything but especially undergraduate research, graduate school musings, FGLI pride, and getting Harvard to pay for travel.   
  
I live in Stone Hall with my partner Joe (he/him) and little toothless cat Roo (she/her). They’d love to meet you and talk about Boston's public transit and fishy treats, respectively.
