My name is Andrew and I am delighted to work as a non-res premed tutor for Quincy! I grew up in Norwalk, CA––a primarily Latinx immigrant community of LA county. At the College I concentrated in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology in the SCRB Department. My main focus outside of class was researching the molecular etiology of ALS, a fatal neurodegenerative disease, using mouse and stem cell models. After graduating in 2021, I joined the lab of Jason Buenrostro where I shifted my research focus to epigenetics, gene regulation, and their intersection with disease. I am now a first-year medical student at HMS as part of the joint Harvard-MIT MD-PhD program.

Outside of the classroom, I love cooking, running, listening to music, and playing tennis, or just being outdoors generally. Please reach out!
